Thinking about buying a dartboard stand, but not sure which one is right for you? In this guide, we’ll walk you through everything you need to know. From what a dartboard stand is, who it's useful for, and which dartboards fit on it — to the biggest advantages and frequently asked questions. Whether you're a beginner looking for a flexible setup or an experienced player who wants to avoid drilling holes in the wall, we’ll help you make the right choice. Let’s find the dartboard stand that fits your needs perfectly!
A dartboard stand is a frame or tripod where you can place your dartboard. Instead of mounting the board on the wall with screws, you simply attach it to the stand. It’s a convenient solution if you don’t want to make holes in the wall or if you want to move the dartboard around to different places. Think about using it in the living room, attic, garage, or even outside in the garden.
Many dartboard stands are adjustable in height, ensuring that your dartboard is always set to the correct height: 1.73 meters (5 feet 8 inches) from the floor to the center of the bullseye. Most stands are also foldable, so you can easily store them away when you’re done playing.
A dartboard stand is perfect for anyone who doesn’t have a permanent spot for their dartboard, or simply doesn’t want to mount it on the wall. You can place the board wherever you like, and when you’re finished, you can easily put it away. It’s ideal for home use, in the attic, in the garden, or if you want to play at someone else’s place.
Almost all dartboards fit on a stand. Whether you have a classic sisal dartboard for steel tip darts or an electronic dartboard for soft tip darts, there are stands that will fit. However, be sure to check how the dartboard attaches to the stand before purchasing. This way, you can make sure it stays securely in place and doesn’t move while you’re throwing. Always check the product specifications – some electronic dartboards have different dimensions or fixing systems, so they may not fit every stand.
