At Dartshopper, we’re here to help you make the right choice so you can find the perfect setup that matches your throwing style. By the end of this page, you’ll know exactly what to look for when choosing your ideal Swiss Points.
Target Swiss Points are specially designed dart points that fit exclusively on steel tip Target darts and Harrows Quick point dart barrels. The unique feature of Swiss Points is that they are part of an integrated system with the Barrel. With the included Swiss Point Tool, you can replace the dart point in just a few seconds – no extra tools required! This system allows you to quickly adjust the length, style, and colour of your dart point, unlike traditional darts where changing the point can be a more time-consuming process. This makes Swiss Points a convenient solution for both recreational and professional players.
• Finger Grip: This type of Swiss Point is perfect if you place your fingers on the point of the dart during your throw. It gives you a familiar, controlled feel, which many players find comfortable.
• Board Grip: These Swiss Points provide better grip on the dartboard, ensuring your darts stay in place and are less likely to bounce out. This is especially helpful in competitive environments where precision matters, and you want to avoid losing points due to darts falling out.
There are two main types of Swiss Points: Tapered and Straight. Here’s how they differ:
• Tapered Swiss Points have a smooth transition into the barrel, making them a great choice for players who grip the dart at the front. The tapered design helps reduce bounce outs, as the flat area at the front of the dart, no longer will clash with the darts in the board, the nose guides any deflection along the curve, instead of bouncing against the flights and causing damage.
• Straight Swiss Points are, as the name suggests, straight and stick out directly from the barrel. These points are generally lighter than tapered points and offer a simpler design. While they don’t offer the same bounce out prevention as tapered points, they are a more affordable option.

Target Swiss Points come in various lengths: 26 mm, 30 mm, 35 mm, 40 mm, and the longest at 42 mm. The best length depends on your throwing style and what works best for you. Here’s how the length can affect your darts:
• Point length 26 mm: This length works well for a variety of playstyles and is a great starting point if you’re unsure which to choose. Shorter points make the dart feel lighter at the front, which can help beginners get a more consistent throw.
• Point length 30 mm: If your darts tend to sit upright or the flight is much higher than the point, a longer point can help. It shifts the centre of gravity towards the back, stabilising the dart’s flight. If you grip the dart towards the back, a longer shaft will make the dart fly more smoothly.
• Point length 35 mm: A slightly longer point adds extra stability for darts that wobble or land unevenly. This length is good for players who throw with more force or hold the dart further back on the barrel, helping the dart stick more reliably.
• Point length 42 mm: The longest option provides maximum stability and precision. It’s ideal for electronic or soft-tip darts where extra penetration is needed to stick well, or for advanced players looking for very consistent flight and control.
